As a Software Engineer at Navico Group, I am the primary developer for our Cuttlefish development tool, contribute to the development of new products, maintain existing products, and assist IT in Linux tool meetings and testing.
I assisted in the development and release of the Simrad NSS4. Other responsibilities include developing a color calibration app for Windows/Linux using Konica Minolta cameras with a custom interface I built, and developing interfaces and matrix manipulation for colorblindness daltonizers in a hackathon.
As an Intern and later Student Engineer at Navico Group, I gained my first experience in software engineering as a platform engineer.
My work involved developing and assessing the functionality of a lighter software for cheaper hardware, enabling the company to release budget-conscious multi-function displays.
I also worked in a small team to further a hackathon project, using Python and OpenCV to develop a tool that identifies fish in sonar imagery.
